I hope you're right! Last one I had (the St. Pat's), it was several weeks before I got all the red stain out of the mortise.
You're a patient man Ka-Dondi...I don't see myself waiting weeks, although there is still a lot of purple stain left in the mortise on this pipe. I guess it's worth the wait though.
I've got a Pete ebony system 302 and it's probably got a few hundred smokes on it without any sign of blistering. It's my favorite english dedicated pipe: and here next to my favorite VA dedicated pipe, a 306 that shoulda been an ebony because I'd love it even more
