I'm still working my way through a sampler but am starting to think about my first real order. Most of the tobaccos in my sampler are light bodied smokes but the flavor is nice in most of them excluding the atladis stuff. I haven't opened my pouch of fox and hound because the aromatics were rather disappointing.' So my top 5 out of what I have tried Patton quadruple virginia Frog Morton Macbarren London burley Patton gold nugget mixture DunhillmEMP 5100 red cake In my next order I know I am going for a Balkan blend. Stokkebye is what i am considering. Squadron leader is on my wish list as well. I'm willing to try another aromatic and am interested in cakes and flakes to try. I used the fold and stuff with macbarren navy with mostly good results. pipeandcigars seems to be out of stock of many blends but I am open to all suggestions.
I don't think you can go wrong with Stokkebye blends. A viriginia that is somewhat popular in bulk to try could be McClelland 5100...
I don't smoke many latakia blends, but Stokkebye English Oriental Supreme is one that I like. For a flake, why not stick with Stokkebye? Try either or both Luxury Twist Flake and/or Luxury Navy Flake. They're both staples in my rotation. Love 'em.
Stokkebye Balkan Supreme is a great choice if you want a Balkan blend. It's cheap, it's tasty and my wife can't stand it; what's not to like! Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake is supposed to be a great VA/Per with cavendish. I admit I love it because of the cut..
I am not a fan of Latakia.... at all.... McClelland Syrian Star... A Kansas City Pipe club blend, I think is fabulous... orange, red, & lemon virginia w/Syrian latakia.... PS LNF...is my favorite of the 3 mention above.
Hi Dondi, These look very interesting. I think Dorisco and Provost will be the first ones I try. Paul
