Jeebs Pipes From Kits...Nut'in Fancy

Someone had asked to see pipes I had made from pipe kits. This is some of them and they are all from Plateau Briar; they're not fancy, just shapes that I like and good smokers.

Nice looking pipes, Does your wife know that you laid them out on the bedspread with a bunch of tobacco leaves to take the picture? Way cool. -David

Yea, I don't really want to talk about that, My wife and 15 yr. old daughter made fun out of it, saying that I had my pipes in the bed sleeping, don't wake them. Thanks.. Jeebs.

That's awesome! I have those same tools, but the best thing I was ever able to make was the outline of my son's pinewood derby car last year (it was a steam locomotive). He was a "Tiger Cub" last year and was too young to handle all the tools. He did some filing and all the sanding and painting. It looked good, but not as good as any of those.

Hhhmmmmm.... I wonder if I could get him to do a pipe next year?!?

Man, you grow your own baccy, carve your own pipes... all I'd need is a vegatable garden, a couple hogs, cows, chickens, solar panels and a well and I'd be off the grid!

Thanks again for sharing pics with us! Those are some great pipes.

I like the one on the top left, and the second and third from the top on the far right... can you tell I like a smaller, straightesh pipe? (after typing this, I see how that could be taken the wrong way... but I, of course, don't).

If you don't mind me asking, what is a Pipe Kit?

A friend of mind builds custom pipes, but I've not heard of a Kit. Seems like something that would be a really fun hobby

You've got some lookers in there, Jeebs. You shape all those with just rasp and file? No lathe or sanding disc? Nice work.

Those are good looking pipes! You got skills man! :th1:
  17. Sasquatch Wanna see me comb my hair really fast?

    Yup.

They say the difference between a pipe smoker and a pipe maker is that a pipe smoker could stop if he had to. :p
