+1. A legend or a Mizzou (SP?) are really quick smokes (15-30 minutes). I very frequently load a pipe one night, smoke 3/4 of it and finish it about 24 hours later. I've never had a problem with my pipes getting sour from doing this. I do make sure to clean them after every smoke though. When I would smoke at work I would smoke a legend at lunch. But I quit smoking at work. I'm not a big fan of short smokes. I would rather wait until I get home and have a nice hour long+ smoke.
So i read in the meer section that corn cobs arent well suited for winter conditions but ill try them out for sure. I just realised that i had the perfect smoke break pipe in my arsenal. Its a Doodler and the bowl is about half the size of all my other pipes. Took it to work today and it did good.
I have a mini corn cob I use for quick smokes, its a bit of a nose warmer but it works just fine. I've seen the doodler on ebay a couple times, whats the story on them?
A american pipe maker named Tracy Mincer made them in the 50`s and though that it was a good idea to drill holes on the sides so that the briar would cool off faster. All the old american pipes that have imported briar on their sides seem to all be small and good for a work shirt pocket. My grand pa had a super small pipe and it was writen imported briar on it.
